Wonder Step is a four-in-one, non-toxic chemical treatment that reduces the risk and danger of slip/falls resulting in potential injury, death, workers compensation claims, litigation costs, and employee days lost.
Wonder Step is a special formulation of chemicals, which reacts with porous stone-based surfaces to significantly increase the static Coefficient of Friction (CoF) in both dry and wet conditions. It can be used on most hard, porous material such as brick, terrazzo, concrete, quarry tile, ceramic tile, porcelain tiles, and vinyl.
Wonder Step does not require "specialized" cleaners or rejuvenators to maintain its integrity! There are no toxic fumes or hazardous waste considerations during or after installation, and no down time for treated floors.
Wonder Step is not a coating that can wear off, but a clear treatment, which creates a crystalline structure in the microscopic pores without losing the look or feel of the flooring.
1. Slip Resistant
Maintains all of the Australian Standards for slip resistance.
2. Floor Sealer
Crystallizes inside the microscopic pores, creating a barrier to contaminants and moisture. This is not a topical coating.

With the crystalline structures filling the pores, the substrate has a higher tensile strength, which will extend the life of your floor.

Cleans and sanitizes floor material by the displacement of contaminants with Wonder Step's crystalline structures.

Wonder Step is a special formulation of chemicals that react with stone-based floors in such a way as to make the floors much safer than any untreated floor, even when wet.
This product treatment can be applied to many types of existing floors. The floor must be porous (i.e., Ceramic Tile, Quarry Tile, Terrazzo, Concrete, Brick, Pool Decking, Porcelain Bathtubs and Showers). Wonder Step, if applied to polished marble, or vinyl tiles will "dull" the finish, however, the floor will be slip-resistant. Wonder Step will not work on plastic or fibreglass. Wonder Step creates a chemical reaction with the pores of the floor, resulting in a substantially higher 'Coefficient of Friction'.
When tile has been treated with Wonder Step, rubber soles on the wet tile will have a COF of .69. This is at least a 157% reduction in slipperiness, when compared to a tile that has not been treated. In other words, the tile, (once Wonder Step has been applied) is actually safer wet than any untreated tile. Wonder Step will aid in significantly reducing slip and fall accidents in your facility.
When Wonder Step is applied to a porous floor, a chemical reaction occurs that effectively removes and destroys all foreign contaminants. Wonder Step then creates a microscopic crystalline structure that fills the pores, which effectively prevents foreign contaminants from penetrating. It takes approximately 20-30 minutes for the product to completely be activated. The end result will be a floor that is "Sealed" and have a COF of .94 when dry and a COF of .69 when wet (ask us for the BSK Lab Report if you'd like more information). Since the floor is sealed, there is no place for such things as germs, bacteria, or viruses to hide and multiply. This makes the floor extremely sanitary, not to mention easier to clean. This is not a topical coating that can be seen or felt.
Wonder Step is a treatment for your floors, not a coating. You cannot even see Wonder Step because everything is done on a microscopic level. The special properties of Wonder Step makes it very useful and necessary in places such as kitchens, cafeterias, hotels, hospitals, doctors and dentists surgeries, schools, swimming pools, spas, bathrooms, etc.
Wonder Step is a renewable product and must be reapplied every 4 years.

What is Wonder Step?

Does is work on all surfaces?
This product can be applied to ceramic tiles, quarry tiles, terrazzo, concrete, brick, pool decking, porcelain bathtubs and showers, and vinyl floors . Unfortunately, it will not work on plastic or fibreglass.
How long does a Wonder Step application last?
Wonder Step is a renewable application every 4 years. It is not a permanent treatment.
Are there any warrantees or guarantees?
When applied by ourselves, or by Wonder Step Certified Applicators, we guarantee that your floor will remain friction effective for a period of 4 years, (when maintained with the proper cleaning methods). Call for specific details.
Will it change the appearance of the floor?
With the exception of some marble and vinyl tiles, a Wonder Step application will cause a minimal change in appearance. However, this is rarely a factor. Considering the reduction in legal liability, any reduction in gloss is insignificant.
Who actually applies the treatment?
Anyone can apply Wonder Step with the proper tools. At a minimum, a deck brush or scrubber is required to agitate Wonder Step into the floor. Ask us for details of costs.
How about cleaning?
The cleaner the floor, the more effective the treatment. If dirt, oil, and other contaminates are allowed to remain on the floor, the COF can be reduced. Beware of companies insisting that you use their expensive floor cleaning products. Any commercially available cleaner/degreaser and proper cleaning techniques is all you will need. A thorough rinsing is more important than expensive, private label, cleaners.
Will my business be disrupted?
No. If you use our trained crews, Wonder Step can be installed in the evenings and weekends. Sometimes, even those times can be impossible. There is only a small period of time, (during the cleaning process), that the floor will be susceptible to a slip/fall problem. Once Wonder Step has been applied, (approx. 20 minutes), that slip/fall period will have been dramatically reduced.
How long does it take to complete?
Our trained personnel anticipate 50 square metres per hour from start to finish.
How much do we charge?

Can Wonder Step reduce my insurance costs?
Check with your insurance broker. Insurance companies should be willing to negotiate a lower rate. If the slip accident rate is decreased, then the premiums should go down.
